Sarah Palin for VP – Did a blogger bring us here?
If you are online, then you are probably following the above meme on Twitter. The stream of little known facts is ever growing. But what happened to spur this on in August, 2008?
On August 29th, 2008, Sarah Palin was announced as John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate. An historic moment for not only Republican’s but women in politics as well. That’s the middle of the story though. One wonders how Sarah, governor of Alaska, came to be picked for the Vice Presidential slot.
Is the truth that the power of the Internet brought her here? One blog might have you convinced. That blog is Draft Sarah Palin for Vice President.
The blog, by author Adam Brickley, is now coming front and center since Sarah Palin’s selection for Vice Presidential running mate. In the FAQ section of the blog, Adam claims to have never met Governor Palin, so one wonders what brings him to be such a fan.
Why did Adam start the blog? Here’s a quote about the goal.
The goal of this site is merely to show the political establishment that Palin would be a good choice (and a better one than the names currently being circulated), because they probably wouldn’t consider her otherwise. It is thebelief of this site that the presidential nominee will like what he sees if he adds Gov. Palin to his list of perspective Vice-Presidents.
Do blogs really make a difference? Adam believe so, and so does the St. Louis Bloggers Guild. Many people across the United States and beyond are now able to not only express their opinions in an open and public forum easily but receive support and feedback as well.
Bloggers touch lives through sharing their opinions, the knowledge and their energy with the rest of us. Adam’s voice may not have been the only factor in McCain’s choice, but with the ubiquity of Internet access, and it’s increasing use by political parties, it’s hard to imagine it went unnoticed.
Adam is making media appearances, so if you’re a fan, or just curious, check out his media appearances article.
What are you blogging today?

Why is it that when Sarah Palin is asked about her children on 2/24/08 her reply is 4 children with no mention of her 5th, is this the action of a prolifer?
or do I have my math really confused?

Interesting, a blogger writing about the effects blogging can have on the “real world.” That’s not biased at all

What a great choice. I am please with the breath of fresh air. My two daughters are looking forward to voting for Mcain and Sarah.

I think her 5th child was born in April, 2008. He has Down’s Syndrome. I doubt the count of “4″ was an “oversight” or intentionally misrepresenting anything. In February (two months before birth) it should have been very obvious she was pregnant.

The Draft Sarah plain for VP is the blog that I found about Palin. I read everything about her on there and on the internet. I become a believer too. I had to join in on Adam’s Blog. Adam did a great job getting us all excited about Palin. As a woman, it is nice to see a conservative female politician!

Well the Dems think they are without threat, but the race is on. Just from in formation learned within the past 24 hours Governor Palin has an overwhelming set of credentials. Bring it on Biden, she may put you on the shameless list.
Republicans are on the road to the White House. Get the word out to those who haven’t been involved. The spirit will be reunited.

BREAK THE GLASS CEILING !!!
WOW … What a great pick!!! America should elect
McCain & Palin for the Whitehouse in November,
for a return to wholesome American values.
An experienced Governor for V.P. vs. a
community organizer for President … I pick Palin.
No Wright, no Farrakahn, no Ayers, no Rezko,
no mean Michelle, NOBAMA

This is going to be fun. History will be made, one way or another, and it looks more likely now that it will be the right history.
Even more Hillary supporters will go for McCain now. Obama is no longer a near certainty. Heaven forbid something happens to McCain, but I believe Palin would rise to the occasion. She has the right attitude. Everyone knows Obama is NOT ready for POTUS, Palin is only for the VP. Look at Dan Quayle.
YEY SARAH PALIN! YEY John McCain! Great pick! The 1st woman for the GOP VP? SCORE!
She’s conservative! SCORE! She’s a Governor! SCORE! She’s pro-drilling! She’s a hunter! SCORE! She doesn’t believe the MMGW Scam! SCORE! She’s a hockey Mom and played basketball in school! SCORE!
